Inspection are a key component of keeping your crane, monorail and below the hook devices operating properly and safely!

Service Crane Company provides regular maintenance and emergency repair services for material handling equipment. Our services include, but are not limited to: crane retrofits, hoist remanufacturing, and crane repairs.

ANNUAL INSPECTIONS:

Complete periodic inspections are to be performed at least annually and more frequently where deemed neceddary due to extreme usage. Signed and dated reports are to be on file for each inspection.

MONTHLY INSPECTIONS:

Frequent inspections are to be performed once a month and require the hooks, chain/lifting cable, limit and pendant station be checked for deficiencies. Detailed and signed reports are requires.

OPERATOR TRAINING:

Operator training of all who operate overhead cranes and hoists is required and a document/certificate should be placed on file for all who have been trained. Operators are to inspect the hoisting equipment they are to use each day at the begining of their shift. The daily inspection of the hoist by the operator does not require documentation.

BELOW HOOK CERTIFICATES:

All below hook lifting devices are required to have identification plates or tags on them that include a traceable identification number and the capacity fo the device (other criteria is requires on spreader beams and other non-sling lifting devices). Lifting devices are shipped with certificates when purchased and these certificates must be kept on file.

BELOW HOOK INSPECTIONS:

Below hook lifting devices are to be inspected either monthly or anually depending on their construction. signed inspection reports are to be maintained in the inspection files.

LOAD TEST CERTIFICATES:

All overhead hoist & crane equipment and their suppport structures should be load tested when they are first put into service and any time thereafter that major repairs are required to the lifting components of the bridge, jib hoist, momorail or their supporting structures. Load test certificates must be maintained in an accessible file.
