We hold the key to turn-key material handling solutions with our one-stop-shop offerings.

Raising Your Business Is Our Business

Our mission is to empower our dealers to say, “yes!”

The CraneWerks Story

Starts and Ends with our Dealers

In short, we manufacture overhead bridge cranes for our dealer network.

Fueled by the spirit of American entrepreneurship, CraneWerks emerged in 1997 to revolutionize the U.S. material handling scene dominated by overseas corporations who were nearly monopolizing the market. We set out to level the playing field for small and mid-level businesses.

The initial goal was simple yet impactful: offer high-quality, cost-effective material handling solutions that our dealers could proudly present to their customers.

CraneWerks is working to empower our independent dealer network by providing limitless overhead crane and lifting equipment and services they need across the United States to excel in their market with ease.

Why CraneWerks?

Because we’re not your competitor — we’re your partner.

As a dealer-exclusive manufacturer, CraneWerks exists to empower our dealers, not undercut them. We deliver reliable, custom-built overhead crane solutions while offering the full spectrum of services that others have abandoned — from engineering support and inspections to remanufacturing and emergency repairs. Our commitment to long-term relationships means you get more than just a product — you get a trusted partner who helps you deliver quality, safety, and performance to your customers.

Interested in Becoming a Dealer?

Joining CraneWerks means more than just access to top-notch products; it’s like having our factory right alongside your sales office. We provide operational support, secure components at discounted rates, and design cutting-edge solutions in-house, all to bolster our dealers’ competitiveness in the industry.

Looking for Lifting Solutions?

Let’s Get You Connected to a Dealer.

How does it work?

By weaving a tight-knit web of partner dealerships across the nation. This was about more than cranes; it was a mission to empower the backbone of our economy. Giving the small- and mid-sized companies the ability to say, “yes,” to new equipment, installations, and other services. They may have just been a service company or have one hoist line, we gave them the ability to provide their customers with more.

Starting from a modest base of operations in Arlington, IN, company founder Mark Thomas and his team embarked on the journey to build their own dealer-only network. This cooperative approach, which continues today, has successfully placed competitively priced overhead cranes, industrial cranes, and material handling products into the hands of end users through our dealers.

Picture this –

A group of passionate individuals rallying against the odds, fighting for the American dream. CraneWerks became more than a company; it became a fighting chance for businesses craving fairness. Through strategic alliances and bulk purchasing, we tilted the scales, giving local enterprises the competitive edge they deserved. Offering products and services that weren’t available to them before.

In 2008, CraneWerks made a significant move to a spacious 65,000 square-foot facility in Morristown, IN, strategically located within the Crossroads of America, easily accessible from every corner of the country. Our continually expanding team of dedicated engineering, manufacturing, and technical experts is available round-the-clock, all sharing a common objective: to bolster and expand our dealer network, ensuring sustained success for all parties involved. The future shines brightly for independent dealers in America, and CraneWerks takes pride in its ongoing role in securing these prosperous times ahead.

Fast forward …

This straightforward approach has evolved into a robust business model. Our extensive dealer-only network allows us to secure components at discounted rates and design cranes and crane systems in-house, thus reducing costs and enhancing our dealers’ competitiveness. When an independent dealer joins the CraneWerks network, it’s akin to having our factory right alongside their sales office – becoming a one-stop-shop. The dealer handles the sales aspect of our partnership, and when necessary, we provide operational support.

Through the decades, the principle remains unchanged. We’ve grown, evolved, and diversified our offerings, but the heartbeat of CraneWerks pulses with the same dedication. We’re still fighting the good fight, weaving a tale of resilience and unity for American businesses. It’s a story of refusing to let the ‘big guys’ dictate the narrative. Today, we’re not just selling cranes; we’re a thriving community of U.S. businesses that refuse to settle for anything less than the American dream. Because in the world of material handling, we believe in strength in unity – that’s the CraneWerks way.

"You have one of the best teams of them all"

I have had many vendors work at various sites that I have ran from a Facilities Manager perspective, so I can honestly tell you that you have one of the best teams of them all.  Your team preformed professionally and adhered to all our expectation and exceeded what I expected when it came to the completion timeline.  Thanks again for all your support, and I for one will look forward to working with that team again!

-Facilities Manager, Shower Systems Customer

Kudos for an incredible performance to meet a customer’s challenge

[A tooling customer] wanted to add a 3-ton crane to an area in their plant, on one condition.  It had to be onsite and billed by the end of their fiscal year, September 30.  CraneWerks didn’t receive the PO until the first week of September!

This is much less time than is usually needed for a project of this type.  But CraneWerks was able to expedite approval drawings and complete the manufacturing in the required timeframe. The CraneWerks team dropped everything to confirm that everything would fit as expected and to get the customer’s quick approval.  The system was completed and delivered on time, and was fully assembled this last weekend and is in operation today.

Thanks team, for getting this critical project completed on time.  Nice job!

-VP of Sales, Supplier

"Your crew went above and beyond my expectations."

They were here on time every day, worked long hours during a period of excessive heat, and handled themselves professionally. Tony kept me in the loop through-out the day on progress and would explain any delays and how he planned to recover and stay on track. The skill set and experience of these gentlemen was easily identifiable in just a short time of watching them work together as a team. Their hard work did not go unnoticed or unappreciated.

Impressed by Communications & Knowledge-Base

I was impressed at your tech Tayler’s communications and how he kept on the job to get it all completed. Felt he really knew what he was doing!

-Maintenance Manager, Manufacturing Customer

Kudos to the Accounting Team!

They have been giving back to our delivery drivers this month. Since the day this began, every driver has grabbed a snack and or drink for the road and in return, gave a huge smile and a, “Thank you!”

-Internal employee

Thank you to CraneWerks for helping get projects completed last week!

For this project, we had the A team on it. Every time I stopped in, Tony had a plan for what was needed to get their crane back to better than new shape. Nick and Tyler took care of making sure all the wheels and pins were replaced on the bridge. We had told the customer that it would take 8 days to complete. They completed it in 7 with Saturday and Sunday being extremely hot, our customer was very grateful since she needed some coils that were buried to get her customer some parts.

Thank you to Lisa for staying on our supplier to make sure we received the wheels. She did not quit after they hung up on her and she kept pushing them to get them out even though they told her it would be next week.

The tech did a great job getting UC5 going. Before starting the job, he locked the crane out and put these signs up so everyone knew he was working on it.

Crystal worked with us to make sure we had techs where they needed to be to get these customers taken care of.

-Outside Sales Representative, Dealer

Thank You to Technicians

Thank you to Aaron, Rick and Darren for the help [with an end user] yesterday and last night. The techs stuck with it until we had them a usable crane and Aaron gave continuous support through the whole process.

-Outside Sales Representative, Dealer

To the Draftsman

Darren’s always trying to make sure everything’s perfect and right for the customer.

– Internal Employee

Impressed with Technicians

Both the customer and our account representative were very impressed with work completed. Got done a day early, in constant communication with our account representative (and customer when necessary), cleaned up the job site when completed, overall, a textbook install! Job well done. Appreciate your efforts on this.

-General Manager, Dealer

"I was really impressed by the installation this week."

Tony did a great job from start to finish on getting things done with this job.  I know we aren’t an easy place to do an installation in, so the efficiency that equipment and material were moved in and out of the building was a big part of the reason this went so well.  We were fortunate in getting the open bay in which to work, and Tony did a great job keeping his team moving forward with little wasted time or effort that I could see. I appreciate Tony and his team for their work.
