CraneWerks is seeking a professional, highly skilled, and licensed Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be licensed in the state of Indiana, with the ability to obtain licensure in other states. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the structural engineering aspects of our crane systems, lift fixtures and other material handling products. This includes structural steel engineering, foundations, and industrial engineering. Experience with industrial cranes is preferred.
As a Structural Engineer, you will:
- Oversee the structural engineering aspects of crane systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
- Evaluate lifting fixtures to ensure if they meet current design standards.
- Responsible for engineering, ensuring the quality and integrity of the structural components.
- Assist in quoting by working with salesmen on designs and sizing of runways, helping to determine the most economical way to build a system.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure accurate and compliant structural designs.
- Evaluate existing building structures to determine the viability of installing new crane systems and design structural reinforcement if necessary.
- Generate concept drawings with general dimensions.
- Some site visits are required, mostly local travel.
Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with structural experience. (Preferred)
- Experience as a structural engineer, with a focus on industrial applications. (Required)
- Structural Engineer license (Required)
