Summary:
CraneWerks is a fast-growing overhead crane manufacturer in Morristown, Indiana. We are looking for a motivated individual with 2 years of practical experience to apply a variety of industrial coatings to fabricated metal products.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Apply a variety of industrial coatings to fabricated metal products
- Power-wash and other pre-painting activities in preparation for painting/fabrication
- Mix and spray industrial coatings, water- and solvent-based paint to specifications
- Use instrumentation to ensure compliance with customer specifications
- Assist in rigging large objects for paint application
- Assist in the maintenance of a clean and safe work environment and observe good safety habits
- Adhere to all OSHA and HazMat procedures with respect to the storage and handling of materials
- Report malfunctions of equipment or processing to supervisor
Qualifications:
- 2 years practical experience with industrial coatings and applications of surface preparation required
- Familiarity with various types of metal abrasive treatments preferred
- Flexibility – position may occasionally require working weekends, overtime, or travel
- Must be on time for scheduled work shifts, able to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner, and able to shift priorities when need dictates
- Must be a team player, ready to contribute your effort to group tasks and goals
Education and/or Experience:
- High school degree or equivalent required
Physical Requirements:
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and sit or stand for long periods of time
