Navigating Crane Parts

with Conner Davis

Conner came to CraneWerks with a knack for sales and a hunger to learn, but no background in cranes or industrial equipment. That meant no shortcuts. Just a steep learning curve and a choice: sink or get to work.

“My communication, honesty, sense of urgency, and willingness to learn got me here,” Conner says.

From day one, Conner was dropped into the deep end. He absorbed decades of industry knowledge, rode along with the install team, and shadowed outside sales to understand how everything connects – from cranes in the field to the smallest replacement part. That hands-on exposure turned theory into reality fast.

Conner’s days are packed with calls, questions, quotes, and orders. It’s constant motion.

“Understanding the customers’ needs and recommending the right part or product is my mission,” Conner affirmed.

He works closely with outside sales reps, turning around quotes and navigating the complexity of countless crane configurations. No two cranes are exactly alike, and that’s where the challenge lives. Speed matters. Accuracy matters more. When both line up, customers win.

The role is not without its challenges. Conner faces the daily puzzle of quoting for a wide range of crane variations. Overcoming these hurdles with the supportive CraneWerks team fuels his journey. “I love the rewarding feeling of getting a quote out quickly or successfully landing a sale,” Conner adds. That’s when you know you helped someone keep their operations moving.
