Time Blocking
Building Your To-Do List into Your Calendar
Make a list of fixed events like meetings, classes, or appointments – get them all in one place.
Group smaller, related to-dos (i.e. answering emails and making calls are Administrative Tasks) into specific, recurring daily or weekly blocks.
Schedule dedicated blocks for your most critical projects. Treat these appointments with yourself with the same respect you would with your boss.
Always schedule downtime, meals, and 15-30 minute buffer blocks between tasks to absorb unexpected delays.
“Work expands so as to fill the time available for completion.” – C. Northcote Parkinson
